Who it's for

Email for founders: company, investor, personal and operational mail, without a team inbox

A founder's mail is four different jobs: customers and the team, investors, personal, and the operational stream from Stripe, AWS and GitHub. One person reads all four. This is that person's inbox, and it is not a shared one.

Facts and prices checked 26 September 2026

A founder's company, personal, old-domain and ops mailboxes feeding one list, with a Stripe payout filed and an investor's question on top
Company, personal, operational and the old company's domain. What needs you floats up across all four. Drawn for this page.

A founder reads four kinds of mail, and only three of them come from people. Customers and the team, investors, and personal, all of which want an answer. Then Stripe payouts, AWS billing, GitHub, domain renewals and every vendor invoice, which is most of the volume and wants nothing.

The four kinds, and where they land

Company mail arrives at you@company.com: customers, the team, the board.

Investor mail arrives wherever the investor last had you. Half of it at the company address, some at the old company's domain you kept, some at personal Gmail.

Personal mail is personal, and also where your bank writes.

Operational mail goes to ops@ or billing@ if you set one up, and to you@company.com if you didn't.

Operational mail: filed, not lost

The triage layer reads every message as it lands and files the machine mail under Notification or Receipt in Other.

That's most of everything. Across all the mail MorningZero sorted, 89 percent in the ninety days to 20 September 2026 was machine-sent: notifications, marketing, newsletters, social, calendar and receipts. Notifications alone were 58 percent.

You don't read it. But two kinds of it matter, and rules lift them.

"AWS billing alerts and anything about a failed payment, mark important." "Domain and certificate renewals, mark important." Type either into the rule editor as it stands; it lists the threads it would have caught before you save.

Investor and customer mail: on top, with the reason

A customer replying to your onboarding email with a question. An investor's "quick one before Thursday", from the old domain. A candidate's reply.

All three land in Needs you, and the ? on each row says why: a direct question, a named deadline, a sender you usually reply to.

If an investor's assistant keeps getting filed as marketing, promote the whole domain once. It applies from the next message on and re-files what's already there.

This is not a team inbox

Founders ask, so: MorningZero is one person's view across their own mailboxes. Your co-founder connects their accounts under their own login and sees their own list.

A shared address, support@ or hello@ worked by more than one person, needs assignments, comments and a queue. That's Missive, Front or Help Scout. Team tooling is on our roadmap and not in the product today.

The price

Solo: $19 a month, $15 billed yearly, for up to five mailboxes. Company, personal, the old company's domain and an ops address is four. A co-founder is their own account.

What it won’t do

The limits, before you find them yourself.

It's not a team inbox. Your co-founder gets their own account. support@ needs Missive, Front or Help Scout.

It's not a CRM. No investor pipeline, no logged touches, no scheduled follow-ups.

It won't send on your behalf. A founder's outgoing mail is where an autopilot does the most damage.

No iPhone app yet. On a phone it's the web app in Safari, or Android.

Questions

Asked often enough to answer here.

Can my co-founder and I share it?

No. Each person connects their own mailboxes under their own login and sees their own list. A shared address like support@ needs a shared-inbox tool.

What happens to operational mail like Stripe, AWS and GitHub?

It's filed under Notification or Receipt in Other, so you don't read it. A rule lifts the ones that matter, like billing failures or renewals, into Needs you.

How does it know investor mail matters?

From the message: a direct question, a deadline, addressed to you rather than a list. From your sent folder: who you reply to and how often. And from you: promote an investor's domain once and it applies from the next message on.

Does anything send itself?

No. Rules can label, archive and draft. Ask Zero can read and draft. Sending is a button you press.
