Ask your mail a question. Watch it search. Check its sources.
Zero searches your real mail, live, across every connected inbox. It shows each step and links every email it read. You never have to take its word for it.
Facts and prices checked 26 September 2026
You remember the email. Something about the deck quote, from a contractor, around May. You could search "deck" and read twenty threads. Or you could ask.
Ask Zero takes the question, decides what to search for, runs the searches through every account you've connected, reads what comes back, and answers. The part we care most about is that it shows every step and cites every email it read.
Ask the way you think
"Did I ever reply to the landlord about the lease?" "Pull every invoice from Q2." "Which account is my Figma login on?"
Zero turns each into one or more provider searches: from: a sender, subject: a word, newer_than: a range. You watch it choose them, and if it searched for the wrong thing you know at once.
A question fans out to every mailbox you've connected, each searched with that mailbox's own credentials through the provider's own search. The results come back as one answer.
Watch it work
While Zero works, the steps appear in order. Searched inbox with the query it chose. Read email with the subject. Read attachment with the filename.
Under the answer sit the emails it read, as cards showing sender and subject. Tap one and you're in the thread.
That citation is the load-bearing part. A language model summarising your mail can be confidently wrong. A citation lets you check in one click.
Live, not mirrored
Zero searches your providers directly, so there's no date window. A thread from three years ago is as reachable as one from this morning, as long as the provider's search can find it.
The trade is that it searches by keyword. If the message says "rear timber decking" and you ask about "the deck", Zero has to guess the words, and sometimes it guesses wrong. The Searched inbox steps tell you when.
The app's search box works the other way round. Its instant tier covers the last six months of mirrored mail with a keyword pass and a semantic pass that matches meaning. Switch it to All mail and it goes live, like Zero does.
Where it stops
It can search, read a message, read an attachment's text, and draft. Ask it to reply and it writes the reply in the conversation, ready to take into a compose window from whichever mailbox the thread lives in.
It can't send. It can't archive, label, trash or forward.
A conversational assistant is exactly where "just do it for me" is tempting. Reading a draft takes two seconds. Recovering from a sent email takes a phone call.
Where it's weak
Keyword guessing, above. Attachments are shallower than bodies: text in a PDF, Word file or CSV is read on request, while a scanned image or an .xlsx spreadsheet isn't.
And the answer inherits the model's mistakes. Follow the citations on anything that matters.
What it costs
Nothing per question on a paid plan.
There are no credits and no fixed quota; everyday use is covered by our Fair Use Policy, which is there to stop abuse, not to ration you.
What it won’t do
The limits, before you find them yourself.
It never sends. Ask it to reply and it writes the reply in the conversation for you to take into compose. Nothing goes from a question to a sent message without you.
It doesn't archive, label or file. Zero can search, read, read attachments and draft. Housekeeping is one keystroke in the list.
It's weaker on attachments than on message bodies. Text in a PDF, a Word file or a CSV is read on request. A scanned image or an .xlsx spreadsheet isn't.
An answer without a citation is a guess. If a claim doesn't point at an email, treat it as unverified.
Questions
Asked often enough to answer here.
Does Ask Zero search all my accounts at once?
Yes. A question fans out across every connected mailbox, each searched with its own credentials through the provider's own search, and the results merge into one answer.
Does it search by meaning?
Ask Zero doesn't. It turns your question into keyword searches, the same syntax Gmail's search box takes, and runs them live against each provider. The app's search box is the one that matches meaning: its instant tier covers the last six months of mirrored mail with a keyword pass and a semantic pass.
Can it act on my email?
It can read messages and attachments and draft a reply or a new message. It can't send, archive, label, delete or forward.
Is there a limit on questions?
Not a fixed one. Paid plans carry no credits and no question quota; normal use is covered by our Fair Use Policy. The trial has an allowance, since there's no card behind it.
Nothing sends itself
See it on your own mail.
Fourteen days, up to five mailboxes, no card. Connect the two you check most and watch the first morning sort itself.
