Delete your account & data
MorningZero is operated by Serveka. This page explains how to request deletion of your MorningZero account and data, and what we remove or keep.
Delete your account and all associated data
You can delete your account in two ways:
- In the app — open MorningZero and go to Settings → Accounts. Disconnect each connected mailbox first, then choose Delete account and confirm.
- By email — write to support@morningzero.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We verify ownership and complete the deletion for you.
Delete some data without closing your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. In MorningZero you can:
- Disconnect a mailbox — go to Settings → Accounts and disconnect it. This revokes our access to that account and permanently removes all mail data we derived from it (subjects, senders, previews, labels, summaries, and search embeddings).
- Delete individual messages or threads — from your inbox in the app.
You can also email support@morningzero.com to request deletion of specific data at any time.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, or disconnect a mailbox, we promptly and permanently remove:
- Email content and metadata we stored (subjects, senders, recipients, previews/snippets, labels, AI-generated summaries, and search embeddings). Full message bodies are never written to our database; the short-lived encrypted cache that holds a recently opened message expires on its own within minutes.
- Content you created in MorningZero: reply drafts, any message still queued to send (including its attachments), your conversations with the assistant, and the labeling and triage rules learned from that mailbox.
- Calendar data we stored on your behalf.
- Your OAuth access tokens. For Google mailboxes we also call Google's revocation endpoint, so the grant is withdrawn and MorningZero disappears from your Google account's third-party access list. Microsoft offers no equivalent endpoint, so there we delete the stored tokens instead.
- Your push-notification device tokens.
- Your name, profile image, and feedback you submitted.
If you use our desktop app, the local copy of recent messages it keeps on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
What is kept, and for how long
After deletion we keep only a minimal set of records, and only for as long as needed:
- Billing and payment records — our own usage and billing rows are deleted along with your account. Our payment processor keeps its invoice records independently, to meet its legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- A record that a mailbox was once connected — if you disconnect a mailbox without deleting your account, we keep its address with a deactivation marker appended, and nothing else: no credentials, no mail data. It goes when you delete your account.
- Residual copies in infrastructure backups — our servers' storage is snapshotted on a daily, weekly and monthly cycle, with monthly snapshots kept up to twelve months. Deleted data persists in a snapshot until that snapshot ages out.
