Front.com pricing in 2026: what each seat costs, and where channel limits change the bill
Front.com pricing starts at $25 per seat a month on annual billing ($35 month to month). Professional is $65 ($85 monthly) and Enterprise is $105, annual only. There is no five-seat minimum anymore. What changes the bill is the channel allowance per seat, the 10-seat cap on Starter, and AI add-ons.
MorningZero is an AI email client that unifies Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo and IMAP inboxes. We get compared with Front often, so we keep this breakdown current.

Front.com’s three plans at a glance
| Plan | Annual billing | Monthly billing | Seats | Channels per seat | Channel types |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $25/seat/mo | $35/seat/mo | 1 to 10 | 10 | One type |
| Professional | $65/seat/mo | $85/seat/mo | 1 to 50 | 30 | Email, SMS, social, WhatsApp |
| Enterprise | $105/seat/mo | Annual only | No cap listed | 50 | Email, SMS, social, WhatsApp |
Starter covers a shared inbox, ticketing, basic analytics, a public knowledge base and up to 10 automation rules. Professional adds omnichannel support, macros, 20 rules, advanced analytics, up to 5 workspaces, SSO and SCIM. Enterprise adds smart rules, unlimited rules, custom roles and Front’s AI Copilot, QA and CSAT tools.
What Front’s AI adds to the price
The seat price is not the whole bill if you want AI. Front sells two AI products:
- Copilot costs $20 per seat a month on Starter and Professional. It is included in Enterprise.
- Autopilot, Front’s AI agent, starts at $0.05 per conversation on every plan.
So a Starter seat with Copilot is $45 a month on annual billing, and a Professional seat with Copilot is $85. At that point Enterprise ($105, Copilot included) is only $20 more than Professional with Copilot. Autopilot depends on volume: 10,000 conversations a month at the starting rate would be $500.
The 5-seat minimum is gone, but Starter stops at 10 seats
Older reviews still quote two-, five- or twenty-seat minimums and plan names Front no longer sells. Front’s help center now says Starter and Professional need one license. A solo founder can start on one Starter seat.
The limit to plan around is at the other end. Starter allows up to 10 seats. The 11th person forces the whole company onto Professional:
| Team size | Plan | Monthly cost (annual billing) |
|---|---|---|
| 10 people | Starter | $250 |
| 11 people | Professional | $715 |
One extra hire adds $465 a month. If you are at seven or eight people and growing, price Professional now.
Front counts channels, not mailboxes
A channel is any route customers use to reach you: an email inbox, an SMS number, a chat widget, a WhatsApp account. Front gives each seat a number of channel slots, and the slots are pooled across the company.
Three rules decide how far the slots go:
- Shared and individual channels both count. A personal inbox connected by one teammate uses a slot, the same as
support@. - Starter is one channel type. Ten Starter slots can be ten email inboxes. They cannot be five inboxes plus five SMS numbers.
- Each teammate can connect at most 10 individual channels, on every plan. Professional’s 30 slots do not let one person attach 30 private inboxes.
When one Professional seat beats extra Starter seats
Take a simple case: every channel is an email inbox, and you buy the fewest seats that cover them. Starter gives 10 channels per $25 seat. Professional gives 30 channels per $65 seat.
| Email channels | Starter (annual) | Professional (annual) | Cheaper |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 1 seat, $25 | 1 seat, $65 | Starter by $40 |
| 20 | 2 seats, $50 | 1 seat, $65 | Starter by $15 |
| 21 to 30 | 3 seats, $75 | 1 seat, $65 | Professional by $10 |
| 31 to 40 | 4 seats, $100 | 2 seats, $130 | Starter by $30 |
| 41 to 50 | 5 seats, $125 | 2 seats, $130 | Starter by $5 |
| 51 to 60 | 6 seats, $150 | 2 seats, $130 | Professional by $20 |
Professional only wins in bands. Between 21 and 30 inboxes it is $10 cheaper, then Starter is cheaper again. On monthly billing the first crossover lands in the same place: three Starter seats cost $105 against $85 for one Professional seat.
This is arithmetic, not advice to buy seats nobody uses. If you need SMS, social channels, SSO or more than 10 automation rules, you need Professional anyway, whatever the channel count.
Front blocks the next channel at the cap
Front does not charge for channel 11 on one Starter seat. It stops you adding it. In Front’s words, once the limit is reached “you will be blocked from adding a new channel” until you delete one or upgrade.

For mixed setups the cap arrives sooner than you expect. Nine shared inboxes plus two personal inboxes is already 11 channels, one more than a single Starter seat allows.
Annual billing saves 24%, or 28.6% on Starter
Front’s toggle says Save 24%. The real saving depends on the plan:
| Plan | Monthly × 12 | Annual | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $420 | $300 | 28.6% |
| Professional | $1,020 | $780 | 23.5% |
Enterprise has no monthly option at all.

Which Front plan fits
- Starter: a team of up to 10 working one channel type, usually email, with basic reporting.
- Professional: more than 10 people, or any mix of email, SMS, chat and social, or a need for SSO and SCIM.
- Enterprise: you would add Copilot to every Professional seat anyway, or you need custom roles and unlimited rules.
Pick on the workflow features first. Use the channel table to check you are not paying for a plan just to get slots.
If you are one person with several inboxes
Front is built for a team working a queue: messages get owners, teammates comment, managers report. For a support team that is the right shape.
It is usually the wrong shape for one consultant with a personal Gmail, a work Outlook and four client inboxes. That person would pay for ticketing and team workflow when the real job is seeing every inbox in one place. Our guide to unified inboxes versus shared inboxes explains the difference, and the cost-per-mailbox comparison of 14 email apps covers personal tools, including free ones.
Where MorningZero fits
MorningZero is for one person running several accounts. Solo is $19 a month, or $15 a month billed yearly, for 5 mailboxes. Stack is $29 a month, or $23 billed yearly, for 15. Extra mailboxes are $3 a month each. Both plans include the same AI triage, plain-English rules and search across every inbox, with no credits.
It is not a Front replacement. MorningZero has no ticket assignment, internal comments or shared-inbox ownership, so a support team should choose Front or another team tool. If you only want several inboxes in one list and no AI sorting, a free client will do.
Try MorningZero free for 14 days, no card. The trial covers 5 mailboxes.
How we checked
We read Front’s pricing page in both billing modes, its plans page and its channel-limits page on 5 November 2026, from a US connection, and saved screenshots. The tables are arithmetic on those published numbers, and the raw figures are in a downloadable CSV.
We did not test Front itself. Its SaaS Services Agreement does not allow use for competitive benchmarking, and the public pages answer the pricing question. Enterprise minimums are not published, so no Enterprise totals appear above.
Prices change. Check Front’s own page before you buy.
